Further Technical Information

Images can be forwarded from the camera to remote servers via FTP, HTTP or e-mail. Notification of image capture and actual images can be forwarded via WAP PUSH, SMS, MMS or e-mail to mobile handsets.

Using a mobile phone or PDA, ‘still’ images can be viewed via WAP/WEB browser and video sequences via J2ME applications or directly on newer handsets.

System connectivity for the Fonecam system can either be hardwired through a broadband (ADSL) line, via the mobile phone network using 3G where available, GPRS in remote locations, or wireless LAN 802.11 (WLAN) private networks.

In extremely remote areas where no fixed telephone or mobile phone service exists, broadband connectivity can be provided via 2-way satellite, or extended from mobile hubs using directional antennae.

Some typical Fonecam configurations are shown below. Customer's can 'pick and mix' between fixed or mobile digital or analogue cameras, and 'hard wired' connections depending on specific applications.

McLeish Brothers

Telecosse are pleased to have been selected by McLeish Brothers of Dundee, one of Scotland’s fastest growing chain of Delicatessens, to provide telecoms infrastructure for their rapidly increasing number of stores throughout Scotland, and their new Dundee Head Office.

Managing Director of McLeish Brothers, Mr. Stanley Morrice, comments “Telecosse and in particular Jim Mennie has been of considerable value to our team to date. Jim has guided us through the complexities of selecting vendors, and takes a hands-on approach to project managing each telecoms infrastructure solution to ensure we are fully operational prior to opening".

The latest McLeish store to open can be found on South Bridge, Edinburgh just along from the Royal Mile and across from the Festival Theatre.

Please come and experience a fresh and enjoyable approach to retailing!
